My favorite is still the two blocks that make up Little West 12th Street, which are four blocks away from, and do not connect to, West 12th Street.
I like how 4th Ave only exists for a few blocks now, because people wanted to say they lived on Park Avenue well south of where the park stopped. At least that’s how I assume that happened.

I’ve sure as shit made my fair share of mistakes. I’ve ridden through some pretty dicey places in my Trans-Am, had one or two run-ins with the law, and spent more than a few nights in county.

I know horses can do really awesome stuff like dressage (which is really awesome, and has a history dating back thousands of years to when battles were fought on horseback, and people needed their horses to be able to side-step away from swords, spin around in place, and remain calm in the midst of insane brutality) but are they actually smart? I’m not convinced.
Show me a horse a dolphin a pig and a dog doing the same problem-solving, and I’ll bet that the horse loses. Jazz sax, on the other hand, comes to horses preternaturally.

Mr. Ryan blamed Mr. Obama for an 8 percent cut in Pentagon spending that is scheduled for January that results from Congress’s failure to compromise on a debt plan, even though Mr. Ryan voted for a 2011 deal requiring the automatic cuts as a way to force both parties to the negotiating table.

Not to be a downer, but the “cuts” that are going around are actually increases. The 8% cut is actually just 8% less than the projected increase. Some nice double talk from both sides help to confuse the issue. This isn’t a partisan he-said she-said thing, it’s just an unfortunate fact.
Republicans can bitch that Obama is “cutting” defense, when in reality he is not.
Democrats can tout that they are “cutting” defense, when in reality they are not.
