Bullemhead

Twelve things I know for sure:

Four things I want to do:

  • Drive across country and document small town life
  • Open a 1700’s style public house / tavern
  • Live in Mexico for a year
  • Live on a farm

Twenty-three things you may not know about me:

  1. My favorite author is Hunter S. Thompson
  2. My favorite book is Inside Mr. Enderby
  3. My favorite food is a green olive
  4. I was born and raised in the same city that my parents were born and raised in. They are still together and still live in the house in which I grew up.
  5. My cat Mary plays fetch, and was named for the talking statue in the film “Pecker”.
  6. When I drink bourbon, it’s Wild Turkey. Only on weekends.
  7. When I smoke, it’s American Spirits. Only on weekends.
  8. I eat a Granny Smith apple almost every day.
  9. I like to run or exercise almost every day.
  10. My favorite drinking glass is a Nagano Olympics 1998 tumbler… I’m drinking ice water from it right now.
  11. I really like ice water, and I drink several glasses a day.
  12. I live above a Jewish bakery in a 3600 sq ft. storage space with 3 other roommates.
  13. I write in a 5×7 black notebook with a Pigma Micron 05, brown archival ink.
  14. I have a tattoo on my chest
  15. I wrote on a Remington Quiet-Writer typewriter for a while until it got stuck in ALL CAPS. I haven’t had it fixed.
  16. I’m a decent pool player (better when I’m drunk).
  17. I always enjoyed yard work, and worked in a tree and plant nursery for a while back in Indiana. Now I grow vegetables on my roof.
  18. In 2nd grade I had to go to a special speech class because I couldn’t pronounce my R’s. World was Wuhld, Bird was Buhd. But I learned quick and was R-ing within two weeks.
  19. Also in 2nd grade, I had a crush on my teacher Ms. Stanley. During recess sometimes I would pretend to be sad or upset about something, and she would take me for walks on the playground looking for ladybugs.
  20. My wooden dresser, bed, and cat have moved with me to 9 different houses in 4 different cities in 3 different states.
  21. When I was seven, I was really into baseball. I covered an entire wall of my room with full baseball card display sheets. There were a few duplicate cards. I remember a couple Ozzie Guillens and Darryl Strawberrys. Also that year, Dwight Gooden and the Mets won the World Series. I’ve been a Mets fan ever since.
  22. Once, after reading about Hunter Thompson moving to Big Sur to attempt to write the “Great American Novel”, I mentioned to a friend that I wanted to make the “Great American Something” as well. She told me “You are the Great American Something,” and I fell in love with her then and there. Then she moved to Detroit to live with my friend and I really started to understand country music.
  23. I got the idea for this list from a great kid called Clark who lives in a magical place called Kah-nah-dah.
